Who I am…

My name is Eoin Gleeson — a Sound Recordist and Boom Operator based in Dublin. I’ve spent the past several years working across a broad range of projects, from short films and documentaries to commercial work, indie features, and larger-scale productions. My work has taken me all around Ireland and abroad, collaborating with directors and crews who value clarity, communication, and care in the sound department.

I’ve trained under several accomplished recordists whose guidance helped me build both a strong technical foundation and an adaptable, collaborative mindset. Whether it’s a small team shooting in unpredictable conditions or a fast-moving narrative set, I know how to stay calm, solve problems quickly, and keep quality consistent.

Alongside sound, I’m a working professional actor* — having spent time on both sides of the camera gives me a clear sense of what actors need to feel supported, and what a director needs to make the moment work.

Whether I’m recording dialogue on a windswept coast, a quiet interior, or a busy city street, my aim is always the same: to capture sound truthfully.

*As an actor, I’ve appeared in The Woman in the Wall (BBC/Showtime) and The Tourist
(BBC/HBO Max). I work as a voice over artist and work on international tours of theatrical plays.
